The king's bust is depicted with rudimentary detail, lacking the fine engraving of the official issue. A garbled peripheral legend in debased Latin runs around the outer field, reading SIG.III.DG.REX.PO.MD, with letterforms irregular and inconsistent in size and spacing. |
