| Obverse description | Crude, clumsily rendered effigy of King Sigismund III Vasa facing right within a beaded inner circle, the portrait heavily distorted and poorly executed as characteristic of a contemporary counterfeit. The king's bust is depicted with rudimentary detail, lacking the fine engraving of the official issue. A garbled peripheral legend in debased Latin runs around the outer field, reading SIG.III.DG.REX.PO.MD, with letterforms irregular and inconsistent in size and spacing. |
