Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a displayed Polish eagle with spread wings and detailed feathering occupies the central field. The eagle faces forward with wings raised, rendered in the Gothic heraldic style typical of the Jagiellonian period. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the inner circle, reading MONETA MUNDI (or similar), with an abbreviated mint or denomination mark visible at the base of the design. The overall style is characteristic of early sixteenth-century hammered coinage from the Kraków mint.
