| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of King Stefan Batory facing right, wearing a crown, set within a circular legend. Below the bust, the numeral value III in Roman numerals is displayed within an oval cartouche. The effigy is rendered in the characteristic late Renaissance hammered style of the Vilnius Mint. The surrounding legend identifies the king by name and title. |
