| 正面描述 | Bare-headed right-facing bust of Stanisław August Poniatowski occupying the central field, rendered in a neoclassical style with naturalistic portrait detail and curled hair. The circular Latin legend reads STANISLAUS.AUG:D.G.REX.POL.M.D.L., distributed around the portrait. A fine toothed border frames the entire design. |

The 1765 copper trojak from Kraków sits at an awkward political moment: Poniatowski had been placed on the throne just the year before, effectively installed by Catherine II of Russia, and the early coinage reforms of his reign reflect a crown struggling to assert administrative normalcy under foreign pressure. The Kraków mint was already in decline by this point, and its output in copper was inconsistent in both alloy quality and die alignment.
Kopicki 2231 is among the more elusive trojak varieties of the opening mint year.
