Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing portrait bust of King Stanisław August Poniatowski with elaborately curled and powdered hair in the Baroque court fashion, the truncation sharply cut. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail on the hair curls and facial features. Surrounding the portrait, the circular Latin legend reads STANISLAUS AUG D G REX POL M D L, separated from the milled border by a flat inner rim.
