| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned bust of Sigismund III Vasa, wearing an ornate royal crown with fleur-de-lis elements and a ruffled collar visible at the truncation. The portrait is rendered in a late Renaissance style with fine detail to the hair and facial features, including a short beard and moustache. The effigy occupies the central field, with the circular Latin legend partially surrounding the bust. The legend reads SIG III DG REX PO M D L, abbreviating the king's full royal titulature as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania. |
