Obverse description Crowned and draped bust of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and royal mantle, the crown prominently detailed with decorative elements. The effigy is rendered in a characteristic late-Renaissance style typical of Polish royal coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading the king's abbreviated titles. The overall composition is characteristic of hammered silver coinage of the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries.
