| Obverse description | Crowned and bearded effigy of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and armor, with a royal crown above the head. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait within a beaded border. The effigy is rendered in a high-relief Renaissance style typical of late 16th-century Polish coinage. Partial legend visible reads SIGIS III D G along the right field and REX POL M D L along the left and lower field. |

| Reverse description | Central field displays a crowned shield bearing the Vasa dynastic arms, flanked on either side by small crowned heraldic devices — a sprig to the left and a fleur-de-lis to the right. The Roman numeral III appears prominently at the top of the field, indicating the denomination of three grosze. The date 1589 is divided across the field to the left and right of the central shield. Below the shield, a three-line Latin inscription reads GROS·ARG / TRIP·M·D / LITV, identifying the coin as a silver triple grosz of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, all within a beaded border. |
