| Obverse description | Crowned and draped bust of Gustav II Adolf facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and royal crown, with a short beard rendered in fine detail. The effigy is depicted in a late Renaissance portrait style typical of Swedish coinage of the period. A circular Latin legend runs along the coin's periphery, reading the king's name and titles. The legend begins at approximately twelve o'clock and continues clockwise around the bust. The field surrounding the portrait is flat and unadorned, consistent with hammered coinage of the era. |
