背面描述	A griffin stands to the left within a square border ornamented with a row of pellets (pelleted square), the whole set within a plain incuse square punch. The griffin is rendered in a bold, linear archaic style with raised foreleg and prominent wing, consistent with the civic type associated with Kaunos in Caria during the early Classical period. The incuse square is characteristic of the hammered coinage technique employed by Greek mints of this era.
