Reverse description Plain incuse square punch of rectangular form deeply impressed into the reverse field, showing a rough and uneven surface divided by a raised ridge or crack consistent with the punch die. The incuse is slightly off-center within the oval flan and displays no pictorial design or inscription, characteristic of the earliest phase of Lydian coinage where the reverse served solely to anchor the metal during striking.
