| Descrizione del rovescio | Two Egyptian hieroglyphic signs arranged vertically in the field, identifying the issuing pharaoh Nectanebo II. The upper sign is the nefer hieroglyph (𓄤), associated with goodness and perfection, below which appears a further royal or titular sign. The design occupies the centre of the irregular flan with no additional decorative border, reflecting the hybrid Greco-Egyptian character of the issue. The reverse die is crudely cut, consistent with local production during the last native pharaonic dynasty. |
