Obverse description Head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet, rendered in a crude local adaptation of the Athenian style. The facial features are boldly modelled in high relief, with the helmet crest and cheek-guards discernible despite the rough workmanship. The planchet is irregular and the die-cutting reflects provincial execution influenced by contemporary Athenian coinage circulating in Egypt. No legend or inscription appears in the field.
