| Obverse description | An eight-pointed star occupies the central field, with small besants or pellets placed between each of its radiating branches. A crescent surmounts the star from below, its horns pointing upward and framing the base of the central device. The legend TRIPOLIS runs along the periphery in Latin characters. The overall design is rendered in a crude but characteristic Crusader hammered style. |

| Reverse description | A cross pommée is centrally depicted, its four arms each terminating in a rounded boss or pellet, with the arms extending nearly to the coin's edge. Small pellets or besants are visible in each of the four quadrants formed by the arms of the cross. The flan is irregular and the striking somewhat weak in places, consistent with the rough hammered production typical of Crusader coinage from the County of Tripoli. No legend or inscription is present on this side. |
