Obverse description Pommety cross with beaded terminals, centrally placed within a beaded inner circle, the four cantons each bearing a pellet or besant. The overall design is characteristic of Crusader coinage of the Latin East, executed in a bold if somewhat crude hammered style. The legend CIVITAS appears in Latin characters in the surrounding field.
