| Obverse description | Forepart of a wolf in profile to right, depicted in high relief with open jaws and alert ears, rendered in the bold, naturalistic style characteristic of late Hellenistic Peloponnesian coinage. The animal's muscular neck and chest are prominently modeled, conveying an aggressive, snarling posture. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck silver coinage of the period. |

The entire design is contained within a square incuse punch, a hallmark of Argive silver coinage of the Hellenistic period. |
