| Reverse description | Large capital alpha (Α) prominently occupying the upper field, serving as the initial of Argos. The magistrate's name ΙΕΡΩΝΟΣ (Hieronos) is divided across the field in three lines as Ι-Ε / Ρ-Ω / ΝΟ-Σ. In the lower portion of the field, an eagle stands to the right, a traditional Argive civic symbol. The entire design is contained within a square incuse, characteristic of Peloponnesian hammered silver coinage of the late Hellenistic period. |
