Reverse description Central field displays a long cross pattée with a small fleur or ornamental terminal at the foot, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The cross divides the field into four quadrants, each bearing small decorative elements. The surrounding peripheral legend reads DVX MEDIOLANI followed by a numeral or mark, identifying the Duchy of Milan as the issuing authority. The inscription is separated by pellet stops and is partially legible due to the irregular flan and variable strike typical of hammered billon trillina coinage.
