| Obverse description | Bearded male head facing right, wearing a cap or helmet adorned with four laurel leaves and spiral ornamentation in archaic Greek style. The letters Θ (theta) and Ε (epsilon) appear in the field flanking the portrait on either side, serving as an abbreviated reference to Themistokles. The modelling is bold and schematic, consistent with the early Classical coinage of Asia Minor. |
