| Aanvullende informatie |
Selge was among the most fiercely independent cities of Pisidia, resisting Macedonian control even as Alexander swept through Anatolia — a stubbornness rooted in its near-impregnable mountain position above the Eurymedon gorge. The city struck its own silver continuously across centuries, and the trihemiobol series from this period reflects a functioning local economy well integrated into regional trade despite Selge's political insularity.
SNG France 1957 places this squarely within the earlier phase of the series, before typological shifts in the late fourth century.
