Obverse description Head of Libya or a nymph in three-quarter facing view, slightly turned to the left, rendered in the early Classical style characteristic of Kyrenaean coinage of the late Archaic to early Classical period. The hair is elaborately dressed and bound, falling in wavy locks across the crown and gathered at the nape, with fine engraved detail. The face is broad and full with strongly modelled features. The field around the head is plain and unlettered, consistent with the small module of the denomination.
