Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in fine provincial style with detailed hair and laurel wreath tied with ribbon at nape. The emperor's effigy displays strong portraiture typical of Trajanic provincial coinage, with the neck and upper drapery visible. The Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan, beginning at lower left and encircling the bust. The flan is irregular in shape, as characteristic of Eastern provincial hammered silver coinage of the period.
