| Descrizione del dritto | Youthful head of Dionysus facing left, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical Greek style, the hair elaborately braided and drawn back, interwoven with a prominent ivy wreath bearing a large ivy berry at the crown. The facial features are finely modelled with a delicate profile, almond-shaped eye, and softly parted lips. Flowing ringlets descend behind the ear and along the neck, conveying the god's characteristic lush and sensuous aspect. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, with the design well-centred and occupying nearly the full field. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A stylised grapevine bearing four prominent bunches of grapes, the fruiting branches spreading symmetrically within a linear square border. The entire vine design is set within a deep incuse square, characteristic of the Thracian hammered coinage tradition. The surrounding legend naming the magistrate and the ethnic of Maroneia is disposed along the margins of the incuse square. The composition is bold and well-struck, with the vine rendered in a simplified yet effective manner suited to the civic iconography of this wine-producing city. |
