Beschrijving voorzijde	The Herakliskos Drakonopnigon type: the infant Herakles depicted nude, crouching in three-quarter facing view upon a rock, head turned to the left, both hands outstretched as he strangles a serpent in each grip. The scene is rendered in a vigorous, naturalistic style characteristic of late fifth-century BC Karian coinage. The Greek inscription ΣYN appears in the exergue beneath the figure.

A ship's prow is positioned below the chin of the goddess, serving as a civic emblem of the maritime city of Knidos. The ethnic legend KNIΔIΩN encircles the design, and the entire composition is set within a recessed incuse square.
