Obverse description Laureate head of Zeus facing left, rendered in archaic Greek style with strongly modelled facial features including a broad forehead, prominent nose, and flowing beard. The hair is arranged in thick, wavy locks beneath the laurel wreath, with curling locks descending behind the ear. The portrait fills the flan with bold, if somewhat rough, relief characteristic of Arcadian League bronze coinage. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription.
