Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, portrayed as a youthful effigy with short-cropped hair beneath the radiate crown. The paludamentum is fastened at the shoulder, and the cuirass is rendered with fine detail. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within the coin's border.
