| Obverse description | Facing bust of King Wamba rendered in the highly stylized, schematic manner characteristic of late Visigothic coinage, occupying the central field. The figure displays a frontal royal effigy with simplified facial features and broad shoulders, typical of the degenerate Byzantine-influenced die-cutting of the period. A cross-on-steps or cruciform element appears above or before the bust, serving as a royal and Christian symbol of authority. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border.
