| Obverse description | Highly stylized facing bust of King Suinthila occupying the central field, rendered in the debased late Visigothic manner with schematic facial features and elongated neck. The effigy is surrounded by a border of triangular pellet-tipped points arranged in a continuous ring around the coin's circumference. Flanking the bust are groups of triangular star-like ornaments dispersed across the field, characteristic of the late Visigothic coinage style. The legend +SVINTHILARE runs around the periphery in degraded Latin lettering. The overall design reflects the progressive stylization and abstraction typical of Visigothic tremisses struck at provincial mints. |
