The surrounding field is densely populated with star-shaped pellet ornaments and triangular punches, arranged in a radiating pattern that fills the entire flan. The circumference is bordered by a continuous row of fine dentils or bead-and-reel decoration. The overall composition reflects the degenerate but distinctive artistic style characteristic of late Visigothic gold coinage. |

Below the bust, two crossed torques or scepters appear as on the obverse, reinforcing the royal symbolism. A Latin cross is visible at the top of the field among the surrounding ornamental elements. The field is densely filled with star-form pellets and triangular punched devices in the characteristic Visigothic decorative idiom.
