| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Emperor Olybrius, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late antique style characteristic of fifth-century Western Roman coinage. The imperial effigy displays a beaded diadem across the brow, with drapery and cuirass visible at the shoulder. The surrounding field carries the Latin legend D N ANICIVS OLYBRIVS AG, abbreviated for Dominus Noster Anicius Olybrius Augustus, arranged around the periphery of the flan. The hammered flan is irregular in outline, as is typical of tremisses of this period. |
