| Reverse description | A plain Latin cross occupies the central field, enclosed within a laurel wreath rendered with detailed leaf sprays joined at the base by a pellet-decorated tie. A small pellet or globule appears at the apex of the wreath above the cross. The wreath serves as both a decorative and symbolic frame, evoking imperial triumph and Christian faith in combination. The mint control mark COMOB appears as the sole legend, inscribed below or within the wreath, identifying the gold standard and mint authority of Mediolanum. |

| Additional information |
Libius Severus was a puppet emperor in every meaningful sense — installed by the generalissimo Ricimer in 461 after the murder of Majorian, he controlled little beyond the Italian peninsula and was recognized by neither the Eastern court nor the commanders holding Gaul and Dalmatia. His four-year reign produced a thin coinage, and the Mediolanum mint was already in steep decline by this point, its output a fraction of what Ravenna and Rome managed.
RIC X 2726 is among the scarcer tremissis types attributed to his reign.
