| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing bust of Emperor Libius Severus, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial tradition on a plain field. The emperor's effigy displays characteristic late antique stylization, with schematic rendering of the drapery folds and cuirass visible at the shoulder. The circumferential Latin legend D N LIBIVS SEVERVS P F AVG encircles the bust, reading 'Our Lord Libius Severus, Pious and Fortunate Augustus.' The flan is notably irregular, consistent with hand-hammered gold coinage of the period. |
