| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two crossed torques or staffs with knotted terminals forming an X-pattern across the field, enclosing a central wreath within which a Greek cross is displayed. A six-pointed star appears in the upper field above the crossing point. The mint signature CONOB is inscribed in the exergue in large, widely-spaced letters. The overall composition is a barbarous imitation of late Roman tremissis reverse types, rendered with bold, schematic lines characteristic of Suebi coinage. |
