Obverse description Facing bust of the emperor in the name of Justinian II, crowned with a jewelled diadem and draped in imperial robes with a beaded collar visible across the shoulders. The effigy is rendered in a stylized, frontally symmetrical manner characteristic of Lombard imitative coinage, with pronounced wide eyes and a short beard. A cross-sceptre appears to the left of the bust. The surrounding circular legend is divided on either side of the imperial portrait.
