Obverse description Facing right, a crowned and draped bust of Constantine IV rendered in a barbaric provincial style, with prominent facial features including a large eye, broad nose, and stylized beard. The emperor wears a diadem crown and layered drapery indicated by incised lines at the shoulder. A beaded border frames the coin, with a retrograde or debased Latin legend surrounding the effigy in the field. The execution reflects the Lombard engravers' interpretation of Byzantine imperial iconography.
