| Obverse description | Facing bust of King Gundemaro depicted in a highly stylized, schematic manner characteristic of Visigothic tremisses, with pendilia flanking the head and wearing a diademed crown or helmet. The figure is shown draped, with the bust rendered frontally in low relief. A cross potent surmounts the composition at the top of the field. The surrounding Latin legend reads + GONDEMARVS RE, disposed around the periphery within a circular border. |

| Additional information |
Gundemaro ruled for just two years before dying in 612, almost certainly of natural causes — unusual for Visigothic kings, who more commonly met violent ends. His reign was consumed by warfare against the Basques in the north and diplomatic maneuvering against the Byzantine enclaves still clinging to the southeastern coast. The Tarraco mint attribution for this type rests on Pliego's die-link analysis rather than any explicit mint signature; Visigothic tremisses carry no mint marks in the Roman sense.
CNV 210 is among the scarcer Gundemaro issues by surviving population.
