| Opis rewersu | Frontal facing bust in the same schematic Visigothic style as the obverse, representing either a continuation of the royal effigy or a stylized Victory figure, draped with crossed bands visible on the chest and pendant earrings flanking the face. A cross pattée appears prominently above the bust in the upper field, flanked by pellets. The mint name of Caesaraugusta (modern Zaragoza) is rendered in abbreviated and fragmented form distributed around the central effigy in the field. The design closely mirrors the obverse in artistic treatment, consistent with Visigothic tremissis coinage of the period attributed to the Caesaraugusta mint. |

Gundemar ruled for just two years before dying in 612, leaving no recorded military defeats but also no heir. His coinage is scarce across all mints, and the Cesaraugusta (Zaragoza) issue is among the harder regional attributions to locate — the city had been a major Visigothic administrative center since the late fifth century, but output under Gundemar was evidently limited. CNV 208 and Pliego 217 track closely, with only modest die variation documented across known specimens.
