| Description du revers | A long cross potent occupies the central field, flanked by a letter to the left and the monogram of Duke Gisulf II to the right, all rendered in the crude, angular style typical of Lombard Beneventan imitative coinage. The arrangement references the reverse type of Byzantine tremisses but is distinctly provincial in execution. A Latin legend encircles the design, incorporating the victory acclamation and the Constantinople mint mark CONOB, here used as a conventional reference to imperial authority rather than a true mint designation. |
