Reverse description A cross potent set upon three graduated steps occupies the central field, a standard Christian motif employed on late Visigothic coinage. Small decorative elements, including star-like ornaments, are distributed in the surrounding field flanking the cross. The Latin mint and piety legend + TVDE PIVS encircles the central device within a beaded border, identifying the mint of Tude (modern Tui, Galicia) and proclaiming the king's piety in accordance with Visigothic royal titulature.
