The busts are rendered in a highly stylised, degenerate manner consistent with late seventh-century Visigothic die-cutting. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner circle, bearing the name EGICA RX, preceded by a cross pattée. The flan shows characteristic irregular edges and a crack across the field. |
