Reverse description Facing bust rendered in the same highly stylized Visigothic manner as the obverse, with a beaded or radiate crown and simplified facial features indicated by a few punched dots and incised lines. The bust is frontal and schematic, with drapery suggested by curved lines below the neck. A cross pattee appears prominently in the lower field beneath the bust. The circular legend +CORDOBA PIVS surrounds the design, with letters interspersed among cross motifs, all enclosed within a beaded border. The overall style reflects the degenerate yet distinctive artistic tradition of late Visigothic gold coinage struck at Córdoba.
