Reverse description Hammered gold reverse of irregular flan featuring a small cross pattée enclosed within a central circular border or ring, forming a rosette-like central motif. Radiating from this central device are six elements arranged in a star-like pattern, interspersed with a circular legend distributed around the field. The inscription is separated into groups by pellets, rendered in the same bold, semi-barbarous Latin script as the obverse, consistent with the localised production of the Castelseprio mint during the early Carolingian period.
