Beschrijving voorzijde Facing bust of Arichis II, bearded and crowned with a jewelled diadem surmounted by a cross pattée, rendered in the late Lombard-Byzantine stylistic tradition. The figure is depicted in a frontal, hieratic pose wearing a cuirass with elaborate beaded ornamentation at the neckline, and a paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder. A small cross potent appears to the lower left of the bust in the field. The encircling Latin legend reads D NS VI - CTORIA, invoking the lord and victory, distributed on either side of the crowned effigy.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central device consisting of a tall cross on steps with the monogram of Arichis — formed by the letters A and H interlaced at the base of the cross shaft — occupying the lower portion of the field, in direct imitation of Byzantine tremissis reverse types. A cluster of pellets appears above the arms of the cross. The surrounding Latin legend, reading VITIRA - PRINPI A CONOB, is distributed around the periphery of the flan, invoking the victory of the prince, naming Arichis, and concluding with the CONOB mint mark denoting Constantinople as the monetary standard. The die work reflects the characteristic Beneventan adaptation of Byzantine iconographic conventions.
