背面描述	The reverse displays a bold Latin cross potent centered in the field, its arms terminating in crossbars characteristic of the type, rendered in strong relief against the flat gold flan. Encircling the cross, a continuous annular legend composed of repeating VIVI sequences separated by pellets or asterisks fills the border, a formulaic inscription common to Lombard-period tremisses from Lucca. The legend is contained between two raised circular lines forming an annular band. The overall design reflects the debased Byzantine stylistic tradition adapted by Lombard moneyers of the early eighth century, with deliberately schematic lettering.
