Obverse description Circular cast bronze trade weight with raised outer rim and inner ring enclosing a concave field bearing three verification stamps in relief: the Shield of St George (City of London arms) at upper left, the Sword of St Paul cipher (City of London Guildhall mark) at upper right, and a ewer (Founders' Company verification mark) at lower centre. The surface shows heavy patination consistent with age.
