Obverse description Large Greek cross with flared arms occupying the central field, with a small annulet or pellet positioned at each terminal point of the cross. The design is rendered in bold relief on the concave scyphate flan, characteristic of Byzantine-influenced Bulgarian coinage. The field is otherwise plain, with no surrounding legend.
