| 背面描述 | Half-length frontal figure of the ruler Mitzo Asen, crowned and clad in imperial loros, holding a scepter surmounted by a cross in his right hand. The figure is depicted in the Byzantine imperial tradition, with formal frontal posture and stylized imperial regalia. The crowning figure at upper left, partially visible, may represent a saint or divine investiture motif. The composition fills the concave field of the scyphate flan. |

Mitzo Asen ruled for less than two years before being deposed and blinded — a punishment that effectively ended any political career in medieval Bulgaria. His coinage is correspondingly rare, and most attributed examples survive only in worn or fragmentary condition from hoards recovered in the lower Danube region.
