Obverse description Emperor Konstantin I Tih enthroned facing, depicted in full imperial regalia, holding a labarum in his right hand and an akakia in his left. The hand of God (manus Dei) descends from above to crown the emperor. The composition is rendered in the Byzantine artistic tradition, with the throne visible beneath the seated figure. The concave scyphate flan gives the design a characteristic bowl-like relief.
