Reverse description Three horizontal lines of Cyrillic inscription arranged in three registers across the field, separated by plain horizontal bars, reading the ruler's name and title in an abbreviated form. The lettering is boldly engraved in a crude, angular Cyrillic hand typical of late 14th-century Bulgarian and Dobrudjan coinage. The flan is irregular and the surface retains an olive-green patina with areas of granular encrustation. No figurative device is present; the entire reverse is devoted to the epigraphic legend.
