Obverse description Central field features a multi-rayed star or wheel motif formed by intersecting raised lines radiating from a central boss, dividing the flan into segments. The design is executed in a bold, low-relief hammered style typical of late medieval Bulgarian coinage. The irregular flan shows natural edge notching consistent with hand-cut copper flans of the period. No legible inscription is present on this face. The overall die work reflects the provincial workshop tradition of the Veliko Tarnovo mint.
